"Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett has issued a formal apology after a meme that glorified running down protesters was posted on the Chelan County Emergency Management’s Facebook page.
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that a Chelan County emergency services worker this week accidentally posted an offensive meme to his department’s official Facebook page after initially intending to only post it to their own personal page.
The meme said “All lives splatter,” and featured a cartoon of a car running over protesters. The meme also said that, “Nobody cares about your protest, keep your ass out of the road.”
“I don’t wish harm on anyone,” wrote the employee, who has yet to be publicly identified. “But protesters don’t belong in the road!””*
